Mr. Aoki is a patent agent in Townsend’s Electronics & Software Practice Group. His current practice includes patent prosecution of domestic and foreign patents in computer systems, networking, storage systems, e-commerce/software, PV solar and semiconductor devices. In addition, he has participated in litigation support, patent reexamination proceedings, and due diligence review for merger and acquisition transactions.
Prior to joining Townsend, he worked as a patent engineer/translator for Ryuka IP Law firm in Tokyo, Japan.
In addition, Mr. Aoki was a group manager in microprocessor design at Hitachi Semiconductor America and later on at the Microcontroller Division of Renesas Technology Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Aoki started his engineering career as a design engineer in the Semiconductor Division of Hitachi Ltd., where he designed both memory and ASIC products.
