Townsend Kicks Off 2010 IP Writing and Scholarship Competition


December 29, 2009 - Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP announced today the opening of its annual intellectual property writing competition. The "Townsend Prize for Intellectual Property Writing and Scholarship" will be awarded for winning articles submitted by students from four participating law schools - University of Colorado School of Law, Denver University Sturm College of Law, Brigham Young University Law School and Washington University School of Law. Currently enrolled JD or LLM students at the four participating law schools may enter the competition by submitting papers on any IP-related topic prior to the April 2, 2010 deadline. Winning submissions will demonstrate outstanding and creative legal analysis of important IP issues and excellent writing skills. First place entries at each school will receive $1,000 and the opportunity to have their article featured on Townsend's Web site. Please refer to our  'Frequently Asked Questions'  for additional information on the Townsend Prize and guidelines for submissions.
