DISCOVER THE NEXT EDISON AT THE COLORADO INVENTOR SHOWCASE
Meet the minds that inspire creativity and hope for the future at the DaVinci Institute’s fifth annual showcase of Colorado’s top inventors and entrepreneurs
Denver, CO – Everyone has a great idea, they just don’t know what to do with it. That’s why meeting others who have managed to turn their creative ideas into reality is so inspiring for the hundreds of inventors and entrepreneurs expected at the DaVinci Institute’s fifth annual Colorado Inventor Showcase. The event is scheduled on November 3 from 3:00PM-8:00PM at the Cable Center, located on the Denver University campus at 2000 Buchtel Blvd., just across from the University Light Rail station.
“It’s a chance to surround yourself with others who look like what you want to become,” said futurist Thomas Frey, executive director of the DaVinci Institute. “Talking to people who understand what you are going through can help you transform your dreams into something tangible.”
Townsend, which has been helping inventors protect their ideas for more than 150 years, has been a sponsor of the Colorado Inventor Showcase since the event’s inception. Townsend partner Tom Franklin is one of the event’s celebrity judges, and this year he will be joined by local media personalities Mitch Jelniker from 7 News, Natalie Tysdal and Ken Clark from Fox 31, Mark McIntosh from Colorado Company on 9 News, and Mike Cote from Colorado Biz.
Keynote speakers include Joshua Shuler, director of the Lemelson-MIT Program, a national initiative to inspire a new generation of inventors; Louis Foreman, producer of the PBS show, Everyday Edisons; and David Brin, author of the NY Times bestseller, The Postman.
“There is nothing better than seeing a room full of passionate people being inspired by others who are just as passionate about their work,” said Franklin. “It’s like getting a first hand look at the future.”
