As lawyers, we know it is our responsibility to support the organizations that guarantee equal access to the legal system. Our charitable giving and community outreach is thus focused primarily on organizations that provide legal support and counseling to those who otherwise lack the resources to navigate the expensive and often confusing legal system. In addition to financial support, we also provide support at the board and advisory level for numerous non-profit agencies in addition to in-kind and promotional support for fund-raising and awareness initiatives. In our offices throughout the U.S., we support lawyer and staff efforts to raise money and awareness for numerous charities and organizations, in addition to responses for major catastrophes and domestic relief efforts.
Townsend takes pride in supporting the not-for-profit companies and organizations that make a difference in the legal community, as well as the local communities in which we are privileged to live and work. In the past three years, Townsend has donated nearly $1 million to legal aid organizations and charities that provide support for those who lack access to the legal system.
