James focuses on deploying Townsend’s discretionary capital across Europe through LP and GP-led secondaries, platform and entity investments, recapitalizations, programmatic joint ventures, and co-investments.​

Prior to joining Townsend Group in 2021, James spent six years working in CBRE’s Corporate Finance team in London. ​

James earned a BA in Economics from the University of Exeter, has an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading, and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
