Laurie leads Townsend’s Special Situations team in Europe. ​

He focuses on deploying the firm’s discretionary capital via LP and GP-led secondaries, platform and entity investments, recapitalizations, programmatic joint ventures, and co-investments. In addition, he has significant asset management and portfolio management responsibilities.​

Prior to joining Townsend in 2015, Laurie worked at private equity secondary firm Landmark Partners. He started his career at BNP Paribas in London, before working in the Corporate Finance arm of CBRE. He holds a BSc from the University of Bristol, has an MSc in Real Estate Finance, and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
